These files are about a small bed frame for a child's room, where they can make it their secret space to hide and read and isolate.
I made these 2 frames for two young children in one bedroom, who needed some space for themselves. The lengths were shortened to accommodate 2 beds against that wall, but you can easily stretch, or shorten more, these beds.
I used pegged tenons for my build because the frames have very short legs. I didn’t use any hardware as they can be easily moved around like this. These proved to be very solid for bouncing children!

They love their hiding places!

Frames were made out of beech, the triangle pieces out of ash.
These files don’t come with any instructions to build, it’s merely a design and a few pictures I took during the build:
- you get the Sketchup SKP file (Sketchup is free to use online). You can use it in metric or imperial, and obviously modify as you require. The proportions work well as it is though.

- and some various pictures of my progress as I built this.

Send me pictures of your own completed projects!

You will get the following files:
  • SKP (3MB)
  • PDF (3MB)
