Double Desk

These files are about a modern looking colourful double desk my wife had ordered nearly 10 years ago now.

The several Sketchup SKP files I made to help for my build (proportions, overall looking) and you can see from the pictures that the final product came out very close to what I had drawn.

The Sketchup file doesn't show any joinery though, so depending on your skills and tools and equipment you will do as you please. The many pictures I attach to this package will show all the joinery I used for this project though (finger joints, mortises and tenons)

Frames were made out of birch and birch plywood, the pieces at the bottom out of ash.

These files don’t come with any instructions to build, it’s my design and pictures I took during the build:
- you get the Sketchup SKP files (Sketchup is free to use online). You can use it in metric or imperial, and obviously modify as you require. The proportions work well as it is though. 

The several SKP files are about the whole desk, details of the drawers and their placement, etc. This will also depend on the hardware you use of course, but for this project I wanted full drawer depth and smooth running so I used BLUM's Tandem runner system  https://www.blum.com/za/en/products/runnersystems/tandem/overview/
