PLASMO is a 13 x 5 minute stop motion animation series, which also incorporates small amounts of hand/rod puppetry and CGI. Shot in 1997 it was written and directed by Anthony Lawrence, who had been developing the characters since the mid 80's.
The series was broadcast on Australia's ABC and also sold internationally to 25 countries.
Over the course of a year the 13 part series was produced with a small handful of dedicated artists on an extremely tight budget.
This version has been skillfully upscaled from standard DV files using specialised software, in order to allow viewers to see the detail that was originally captured on 16 mm film.
