In the early spring of 2014, an enthusiastic group of freshly certified Culinary Nutrition Experts (CNEs) came together to create a cookbook that was spearheaded by the incredible and enthusiastic Michelle Vodrazka, a recent CNE graduate herself. With the help of Asha Noel-Hart, Josi Hewgill and Kathleen Bush, Michelle made it her project to coordinate and edit this collaborative offering from the Fall 2013 CNE Grads of the Academy of Culinary Nutrition.
The Culinary Nutrition Experts are one of a kind. We come from all over the world, and are so diverse. One thing that we all have in common is our love of delicious and health supportive food that was instilled in us by the joyous Meghan Telpner, director of the Academy of Culinary Nutrition. She poured her heart and soul into preparing us to go into our communities and teach, share and make a difference. This cookbook is a true collaboration, with 25 Culinary Nutrition Experts contributing not only their recipe development skills, but also their photography skills and resources to create a beautiful, simple, and tasty recipe book.
So here we are, armed with the passion and knowledge that we gained, passing the reigns over to you. This collection of recipes showcases our talents as fantastic home cooks, while showing anyone that they can wow their friends and family with wholesome, healthy, and delicious meals that use ten ingredients or less. These are uncomplicated meals, snacks, treats, desserts, and drinks for uncomplicated people.
We incorporated our learning from the CNE program and love of amazing food and put together a collection that you will love! All recipes are easy to make and call for a short list of ingredients. How reFRESHing!
