These socks are knit in a purl stripe pattern overlaid with slipped stitches, and if you dislike purling, they can be knit inside out! They are an unusual way to use a Mandi’s Makings Share A Pair sock set or two 50 gram skeins, or you could use self-striping yarn with a solid or tonal. The pattern is easy to memorize once it’s established.
Pattern Notes:
This pattern comes in three adult sizes. I provide instructions for a heel flap and gusset, and a standard rounded toe, but your preferred heel/toe method or pattern can be substituted
Materials:
Two 40-50 gram skeins of sock weight yarn (I used Mandi’s Makings Share a Pair in Fireside Friends)
(80-100 grams/350-400 yards/320-365 metres)
2.5 mm – 2.75 mm (US 1.5 - 2) needles (pattern is written for magic loop using a 32” circular but DPNs or 2 circs can be used) with needle size that achieves the gauge you prefer.
