HotSummer — turn heat into action
Heat warnings already exist — bulletins, municipal
ordinances, red alerts. The problem isn't the information, it's that it
stays too generic to act on. HotSummer takes the same data (perceived
temperature, humidity) and turns it into next-hour guidance, tuned to you:
a personal risk index (4 levels, adjustable with an optional health
profile), a recommended time window to stay outside, adaptive hydration
reminders, a three-step alert when risk worsens (notification, short sound
+ vibration, actionable pop-up), the nearest park/green area with
directions, three ways to pick a location (GPS, search, or a point on the
map), and a quick-reference heatstroke first-aid card. No account, no ads,
no data leaving your phone beyond the weather/map requests needed to work
(Open-Meteo and OpenStreetMap, both keyless and trackerless). Not a
substitute for medical advice or official heat bulletins — it complements
them.
