PLASMO Episode 7 Plasmo and the Book Worm

Plasmo is going through star charts at the library to try to find the location of his home planet Pynco, but discovers that they have been eaten away by some mysterious creature that is lurking in the library. Plasmo, Partsy and Niknik, helped by Gessorian the Librarian, try to find the creature while Brucho and Coredor go about things their own way.
This episode has a different look to it as it was made a few years before the other episodes as a pilot for the series. When the funding was finally in place in 1996, the characters got some major tweaks to improve their design. However the series budget was not large enough to re-shoot this episode with the new puppets, so it just became integrated with the series.
This episode, as well as being shot on a 16mm Bolex, was also edited on a flatbed 16mm Steenbeck, the old fashioned way.
Initially, when the series was made, there were attempts to involve a merchandising company to licence products but as Plasmo was new, they didnt want to hear about anything other than Star Wars, Mickey Mouse and Barbie. Luckily in 2020 there are now ways to address this situation of merchandising, feeble as these ways be:
