Your Journey Starts Here...

Paul Pennacchia

Paul Pennacchia is a New York native of Italian descent, currently based in Florence, Italy. With over six years of experience in calisthenics and two years as a personal trainer, Paul specializes in bodyweight training designed to improve relative strength, functional control, and athletic aesthetics. His coaching focuses on developing the body’s full potential through structured, progressive, and personalized programming—no machines, just mastery of your own body.

PAUL'S PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION

When I first started calisthenics, I had no idea just how drastically my body would change. Over time, consistent bodyweight training helped me build lean, functional muscle—improving my posture, mobility, and overall strength. Movements that once felt impossible, like muscle-ups, planches, and front levers, became part of my routine.

Calisthenics didn’t just improve how I looked—it elevated how I moved, performed, and felt every day. Since 2018, I've gained over 40+lbs in lean muscle and have complete control over my own bodyweight. This is what I now help others achieve.

COMPETITIVE ACHIEVEMENTS

Paul has competed at a high level in both national and international events. Notable highlights include:

  • 5th PlaceCOMPFERENCE Calisthenics Static Championships
  • (Connecticut, USA – 2022)
  • Placed in the top five in the statics category (planche, front lever, handstand, power dynamics) among some of the strongest athletes in the United States.
  • 2nd PlaceWorld Street Workout & Calisthenics Federation WORLD CUP Reps & Sets Endurance Battle
  • (Utah, USA – 2021)
  • Silver medalist in the Muscle-Up event—an advanced, explosive movement requiring upper-body strength and control across multiple reps.

Experience & Mentorship

Throughout his calisthenics journey, Paul has trained alongside and learned from some of the most respected and accomplished calisthenics athletes in the world. These collaborations have deepened his expertise across various styles, including:

  • Statics – Mastery of high-difficulty isometric holds
  • Reps & Sets / Endurance – High-volume training for conditioning and muscular resilience
  • Streetlifting – Weighted calisthenics for raw strength development

This hands-on exposure to elite athletes across disciplines gives Paul a diverse and effective perspective when coaching students at all levels.

Martial Arts Foundation & Background

Before entering the calisthenics world, Paul was an accomplished martial artist:

  • 2nd-Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and traditional Hapkido
  • Student of the Ip lineage of Wing Chun in the United States
  • National Champion in his category at Fort Lauderdale, Florida

His martial arts background laid the groundwork for his body awareness, discipline, and explosiveness—skills he now teaches through his calisthenics coaching.

Philosophy: Strength Through Simplicity

The word calisthenics comes from the Greek kalos (beauty) and sthenos (strength). Paul believes this sport represents the perfect balance of aesthetics and performance.

Whether your goal is to build lean muscle, lose fat, improve control, or unlock advanced skills, calisthenics offers a path toward sustainable and intuitive progress. With consistency and the right coaching, anyone can unlock their full physical potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time do I need a week to train?

Although highly dependent on your personal goals, I recommend having at least 2-4 sessions a week, ranging from 45-90 minutes each.

What if I have no prior experience?

That's totally fine. In fact, beginners are usually the fastest to progress and end up seeing an overall positive impact on their physique, body control, energy levels, and discipline all within just the first few months of training.

Do I need any equipment?

The beauty of calisthenics is that it can be done anywhere at any time. However, if you are looking to level up your training set up, I recommend having basic calisthenics equipment to do pushing and pulling exercises, that can be purchased online or found in a conventional gym.

Is it possible to buy coaching more than once?

For sure! You simply need to purchase coaching again and will be able to get access to another set of coaching sessions and any updates or changes needed to the personal plan.
