Pointe Shrug Sweater (Knitting Pattern)

Whiteowlcrochetco. Pointe Shrug Sweater

This shrug sweater is perfect for dressing up (and warming up!) your favourite tank or even keeping you warm during your workout warm-up. Worked from the top down with smaller needles, the Pointe Shrug Sweater 1x1 rib collar begins with a tubular (or traditional) cast on. The raglan section begins with stockinette German short rows, then increases on raglan diagonals. Raglan instructions are written out for each size. The stitches are then split into body stitches and sleeve stitches and additional stitches are backwards loop cast-on at the armpits. The body section proceeds directly into the 1x1 rib hem, ending slightly below the armpit. The sleeves are then picked up, worked in the round, decreasing slightly towards the wrist and ending with a thumb-hole (optional) and 1x1 rib ‘palmband’ (or wristband). Both the hem and the sleeves palmbands are finished with a tubular (or traditional) bind off.
