Most of us remember that one adult in our life, who helped shape us. The one we looked up to, spent hours with and whom we learned a lot from. Sometimes we didn’t even realize how much this person meant to us until much later in life.
This shawl is a tribute to those who’ve been our mentors, either as a gift or as a memory in their honor.
One hank of fingering weight yarn of about 440 - 480 yds (400 - 440m)
Notes on colors: be bold, take a chance (like your mentor did with you).
Fiber contents to consider: Merino or other wool will give body, whereas silk, cotton and linen give it more drape.
The repeat section on the chart for Rows 11 & 12 should be moved 2 stitches to the right.
