About the pattern
The Tall Chevron Cowl is a sister pattern to the Tall Chevron Scarf. It gives a vertical chevron when wrapped around the neck as opposed to the horizontal chevron that happens when wrapping the Tall Chevron Scarf. Along with the Tall Chevron Hat and Wrist Warmers, they make up the Tall Chevron Collection. It is written in one size to be able to use one 200m skein of worsted weight yarn (approx 100g). It is however easily adaptable in both length and width, although this will adjust the required yardage. Details for adaptation are listed in the pattern. The pattern creates a cowl of roughly 30cm by 16cm when laid flat.

Please note:
- Through testing my other patterns in the Tall Chevron Collection, testers have noted that the pattern tends to show up better in more solid coloured yarns and suggested that busier yarns are avoided.
- A number of my current testers have noted that they needed to drop to needle size 3.5mm (US4) to match my gauge.
- If you have a 200m/100g skein a rule of thumb is that you need to be using a maximum of about 2g per round that you knit. This will help you gauge within a few rounds whether you will be on track to stay within 1 skein. I also advise you weigh your yarn before and after the first set of 2x2 ribbing to know how much you require for the final 2x2 ribbing without running out too early.
