Coming Back to Yourself 🤍

A reassuring guided relaxation to help you reconnect with yourself, find your centre and return to a sense of calm when labour feels overwhelming.

Labour can be an intense experience.

There may be moments when everything feels manageable, and others when the sensations, emotions or uncertainty become a little louder.

Coming Back to Yourself is a gentle invitation to pause within that experience and reconnect with what you need.

Through grounding, breathing and calming hypnobirthing techniques, you’ll be guided back towards the present moment, allowing yourself to find a little space amongst everything happening around you.

You don’t need to be perfectly calm.

You don’t need to stay positive every moment.

And you certainly don’t need to pretend that something feels easy when it doesn’t.

You can have a difficult moment without it becoming your whole experience.

You can pause.

You can breathe.

You can ask for support.

You can come back to yourself, as many times as you need.

Because even when everything around you is changing, your voice, your needs and your choices still matter.

However your labour is unfolding, there is space for you here.

For a little while, let yourself be Held. 🤍

Created and recorded by Kimberley Boyd — The Lincolnshire Doula.

This is part of a 'Labour & Birth' collection of four recordings, you can purchase individually or as part of a bundle.

These recordings have been created to support relaxation, emotional wellbeing and preparation for labour and birth. They can be enjoyed alongside your usual maternity care but aren’t intended to replace individual advice or care from your midwife, doctor or other healthcare professional.

As these recordings encourage relaxation, please don’t listen while driving, operating machinery or anywhere you need to remain fully alert. During labour, always remain aware of your surroundings and the guidance of your care team.

However and wherever you are planning to birth, you are welcome here.

For personal use only. Please don’t copy, share or redistribute these recordings.
