Brioche and Garter are a match made in heaven – and the combination offers endless possibilities.

This graphic asymmetrical shawl combines a triangle of brioche and garter strips with a short-row border and features a whimsical picot edge.

This is a great pattern for speckled yarn (Color A). Use colors A & B with lots of contrast for a graphic result, with the lighter color as A – combined with a bright pop of color (C).

Yardage: 837 m / 916 yards in total

Gauge:
20 sts / 36 rows = 10cm / 4” in garter stitch and
16 sts / 20 rows = 10 cm / 4” in brioche stitch (relaxed after blocking) – although gauge is not critical, it will influence the yardage and size of your finished shawl!

Blocking is essential to achieve the measurements of this shawl! The brioche is not meant to be cushy, but light and airy in this pattern.

Needles: US 6/4 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Patent und Kraus Rechts sind eine so großartige Verbindung, mit endlosen Kombinationsmöglichkeiten.

Dieses graphische, leicht asymmetrische Tuch wird in der Diagonale gearbeitet. Das große Dreieck aus Patent- und Kraus-Rechts-Streifen wird von eingerahmt von verkürzten Reihen in kraus rechts. Der verspielte Picot-Kante ist der perfekte Abschluss.

Für den graphischen Hauptteil sollten Farben mit genügend Kontrast verwendet werden, dabei sollte A heller als B sein, in Kombination mit einem Farbtupfer (Farbe C).
