Come Down From Catastrophizing: A Quick-Relief Tool for Working With Anxiety, Dread, and Coming Down From Fear
Come Down From Catastrophizing is a quick-relief PDF tool for the moment after your brain has started predicting disaster.
Catastrophizing can leave your nervous system flooded, tense, restless, frozen, or stuck in future-facing dread. This tool helps you slow the spiral, clear some of the mental noise, and give your body a way to come back down before moving into the next step.
Inside, you’ll work through a short bridge:
Fear → Anxiety → Dread → Reward Predictor
You’ll begin with Dump It or Thank It, a two-part anxiety support practice for getting crowded thoughts out of your head and reconnecting with what may still support you now.
You’ll also work with:
- body-based calming support
- longer exhales and micro-fidgets
- the dread underneath anxiety
- what has been costing too much energy
- what may need more support, relief, or recovery before you move forward
Use this tool when you need help with:
- anxiety after a fear spiral
- dread about what might happen next
- body tension after catastrophizing
- fear that keeps echoing after the original thought has passed
- the “I know I’m spiraling, but I can’t calm down yet” stage
This tool is also included inside Escape the Trauma Matrix Level 1, but it is offered separately for anyone who wants a smaller, lower-cost support tool.
