Flying Goose Vortex 1503.0 PDF Pattern

Flying Goose Vortex is a 2-1/2" strip friendly, Dresden-style foundation-pieced pattern in 25 wedges. By using a strip piecing method along with the foundation piecing process, the project comes together much more simply than one might expect. There are no points to match when sewing completed foundations together, so it is a great project for a beginner to foundation piecing, but there is enough interest to entertain more seasoned quilters as well.

Included in the 20-page pattern are 4 pages of full-color instructions with diagrams to walk you through the process of foundation piecing your very own Goose Vortex medallion! Even if you have never tried foundation piecing before, this design is within your reach! The flying geese can be arranged to fly into the center of the circle or away from the center, for different effects. There is a lot of variety possible depending on background fabric choices, fabric placement, and fussy-cutting.

This listing is for the PDF download of the 20-page pattern ONLY, and not for a finished quilt or tree skirt.
