Bunchberry is a simple garter stitch headband designed to make learning intarsia approachable. Worked flat in four sizes, it uses small amounts of worsted-weight yarn, making it an ideal project for leftovers or mini skeins while introducing the fundamentals of colourwork.

Created as a beginner-friendly introduction to intarsia, the pattern includes a photo-tutorial for joining colours and carrying yarn neatly along the wrong side, as well as other tips.

The design is inspired by bunchberry, a woodland plant native to the forests of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve on Vancouver Island. Like the resilient little plant that thrives along the misty coast, this soft wool headband is designed for cool, damp days.
