Backyard Explorer Adventure Pack

Look closer at the place you already know.

You don’t have to go far to discover something new.

The Backyard Explorer Adventure Pack turns an everyday outdoor space into a shared adventure for an adult and child.

Use it in a backyard, apartment grounds, courtyard, shared lawn, garden edge, nearby green space, or another familiar outdoor place.

Instead of racing through a scavenger hunt or trying to identify everything you see, Backyard Explorer invites you to slow down, look closer, compare what each of you notices, follow little clues, listen, wonder together, and discover how much you normally walk past.

Explore one tiny patch of ground. Compare sun and shade. Listen from one exact spot. Look for signs that something happened before you arrived. Find the ordinary thing you almost missed. Stand in different places and discover how differently two people can see the same space.

The goal isn’t to know every answer.

The goal is to go outside together and notice more.

Designed for ages 5–10 with an adult.
