I found a water ring on my kitchen table. Modern problems require old-fashioned solutions, so I created these mug rugs!
They work up quickly - making a set of them is a good weekend project.
I used Playful Day merino yarn because, let’s face it, it’s so pretty; however, these would work best in cotton or another absorbent yarn.

- This pattern is written in US terminology.
- Yarn: Approximately 55yds DK weight yarn per mug rug(I used Playful Day Yarns Merino DK in Forest)
- Hook: Size 5.50mm crochet hook
- Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors
- Special Stitches: dc2tog (instructions are included)
