It all started with #nevernotgnoming and before I knew it, knitted gnomes weren’t just popping up on my shelves, they were popping up in my garment sketches, too! The Go Big or Go Gnome set includes a hat and mittens. The mittens are a free pattern in Knitty.com and the hat is for sale How to Combine Yarn Colours.

It is important the the gnome colourwork section is not knit too tightly. If the gauge there is different than the stockinette surrounding it, it will not look good. However, even the best of colourwork puckers when it is unblocked, so make sure that you give your sweater a good soaking and blocking once you’re done.
