The Towline Hat is cozy cabled hat that harkens back to classic Aran sweaters, with options for a beanie or a foldover ribbed brim to keep your ears toasty this winter. I knit the original version using handspun,
and spinning notes are included if you'd like to spin your own yarn for this project.

Materials Needed

Yarn Worsted/aran weight yarn; approximately 140 (175) yds/ 128 (160) m for the beanie version or 182 (227) yds/ 166 (208) m for the watchcap version. I recommend a 3- or 4-ply wool or wool blend with some bounce.
