Rionnag Hat Knitting Pattern PDF Download
Rionnag (’star’ in Scottish Gaelic) is a colorwork hat using classic Sheltand motifs. With four colors total and only two colors per row, Rionnag would make a good intermediate colorwork project. Tukuwool Fingering makes a hat that is lightweight and warm; substitute another woolen-spun yarn to get the same effect.

Notions: Tapestry needle; stitch marker.
Notes: This hat is worked in the round; be sure to swatch in the round in both stockinette and the stranded pattern. You may need to go up or down a needle size to obtain gauge for the stranded pattern. Switch to double-pointed needles when the crown becomes too small to knit comfortably on the circular needle.
