J’ai créé ce col avec une laine naturelle normande de la marque Laine à l’Ouest créée par un collectif d’éleveuses.
Leurs moutons sont élevés en plein air dans les beaux paysages normands qui ont inspiré leur première série de laines teintes à la main avec des plantes. Alors j’ai eu envie de rendre hommage à ces moutons et leurs terres, et pour moi, quand je pense à la Normandie, avec ses prairies vertes balayées par le vent salé, j’imagine toujours un joli échassier qui les habite, prêt à s’envoler avec la prochaine brise.
Le col est tricoté en rond de bas en haut. Il commence et se termine avec une portion de côtes et est tricoté en jacquard à deux couleurs. Si vous souhaitez faire un col plus large, vous pouvez ajouter des répétitions du motif.

I used a yarn by A Pleines Mains, a French yarn dyer using natural dyes. This yarn base comes from local sheep from the Pyrenees region, it gives a lot of lightness to the shawl with a lovely rustic touch.
The shawl has a crescent shape worked with yarn over increases and a garter stitch border. It is made of lace and texture pannels alternating with stockinette stitch.

Pieris possède un beau motif inspiré par le vol délicats des papillons de fleur en fleur.
J’ai utilisé pour le tricoter une laine de la teinturière A Pleines Mains, qui utilise uniquement des teintures naturelles.
Cette base de laine naturelle vient de moutons des Pyrénées, elle donne au châle une belle légèreté et un agréable touché un peu rustique.
Le châle a une forme en croissant tricotée avec des augmentations à l’aide de jeté et une bordure au point mousse. Il est fait de panneaux en dentelle et texture alternés avec du jersey.

I used a local yarn from Brittany from the Menez Hom farm, made with fleeces from the historic sheep breed Landes de Bretagne in their natural black color.

Les «Onion Johnnies» étaient des fermiers bretons qui traversaient la Manche chaque année pour aller vendre leurs oignons en Grande-Bretagne en faisant du porte à porte à bicyclette et en portant leur traditionnelle marinière et béret. J’ai créé ce bonnet pour ma sœur qui vit en Irlande, et même si elle écrit une thèse et ne vend pas d’oignons, elle ne dit jamais non à un bon béret et elle sera fière de perpétuer ce cliché français (et breton !)
J’ai utilisé une laine locale bretonne de la ferme du Menez Hom, faite à partir des toisons de la race de mouton historique Landes de Bretagne, dans leur couleur brune naturelle.
Le béret est tricoté en rond de bas en haut en jersey avec un motif intéressant de torsade. Il est disponible dans 3 tailles pour s’adapter à un large éventail de tours de tête.

The scarf is knitted flat in the lovely natural merino yarn Fado by Fonty. It starts and ends with a few rows of backloop ribbing, and the body of the scarf is worked in a pattern made of texture, lace and cables. It’s available in one size, easily adjustable if you want a longer or larger scarf by adding some pattern repeats.

Cette écharpe est inspirée par la silencieuse majesté des bâtiments gothiques et leurs délicats motifs floraux dessinés dans la pierre. Je n’ai pas grandi catholique, mais j’ai toujours adoré les églises gothiques. Quand j’étais petite, je m’y asseyais en silence pour profiter de la paix et de la beauté de ces monuments anciens en contemplant les jeux de lumière dans les vitraux et écoutant les murmures du temps entre leurs murs pleins d’histoires.
L’écharpe est tricotée à plat dans la jolie laine en mérinos naturelle Fado de Fonty. Elle démarre et se termine par quelques rangs de côtes torses, et le corps de l’écharpe est tricoté dans un motif fait de texture, dentelle et torsades.
Le modèle est disponible dans une taille unique, facilement ajustable si vous souhaitez une écharpe plus longue ou plus large, en ajoutant des répétitions du motif.

Ce bonnet en jacquard est inspiré par les hortensias et leurs belles fleurs colorées et géométriques. Les hortensias grandissent beaucoup en Bretagne car ils aiment bien le climat doux et humide, et pour moi ils sont toujours associés dans mon esprit à des vieilles pierres au milieu de landes sauvages sous un ciel ténébreux.
Pour créer ce bonnet et ses mitaines assorties, j’ai utilisé une laine de Bouclelaine, une petite entreprise bretonne qui revalorise les laines locales.

AIGRETTE COWL / COL AIGRETTE
I created this cowl with a local natural yarn from Normandy called Laines à l’Ouest that was created by a collective of sheperdess. Their sheeps are raised outside in the beautiful landscapes of Normandy that was the inspiration for their first naturally hand-dyed serie. So I wanted to pay a tribute to these sheeps and their lands, and to me when I think of the landscapes of Normandy, with deep green prairies and salty wind, I always see the heron birds gracefullyinhabiting these lands, ready to fly away with the next breeze.
The cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up. It starts and ends with a few rounds of ribbing and is worked in a 2-color stranded pattern. If you wish for a larger cowl, you can easily add more repeats of the pattern.

Onion Johnnies were farmers from Brittany who travelled to Great Britain every year to sell their onions going door to door on their bicycle, wearing a traditional marinière and béret. GOTHIQUE FLEURI SCARF / ECHARPE GOTHIQUE FLEURI
This scarf is inspired by the quiet majesty of gothic buildings and their intricate floral patterns sculpted in the stone. I didn’t grow up catholic but I’ve always loved gothic churches. As a kid, I would sit in silence to enjoy the peace and beauty of these ancient buildings, contemplating the light playing through gorgeous stained glasses and listening to the whisper of time through their walls.The scarf is knitted flat in the lovely natural merino yarn Fado by Fonty. It starts and ends with a few rows of backloop ribbing, and the body of the scarf is worked in a pattern made of texture, lace and cables. It’s available in one size, easily adjustable if you want a longer or larger scarf by adding some pattern repeats.

Cette écharpe est inspirée par la silencieuse majesté des bâtiments gothiques et leurs délicats motifs floraux dessinés dans la pierre. Je n’ai pas grandi catholique, mais j’ai toujours adoré les églises gothiques. Quand j’étais petite, je m’y asseyais en silence pour profiter de la paix et de la beauté de ces monuments anciens en contemplant les jeux de lumière dans les vitraux et écoutant les murmures du temps entre leurs murs pleins d’histoires.
L’écharpe est tricotée à plat dans la jolie laine en mérinos naturelle Fado de Fonty. Elle démarre et se termine par quelques rangs de côtes torses, et le corps de l’écharpe est tricoté dans un motif fait de texture, dentelle et torsades.
Le modèle est disponible dans une taille unique, facilement ajustable si vous souhaitez une écharpe plus longue ou plus large, en ajoutant des répétitions du motif.

HORTENSIA HAT / BONNET HORTENSIA
This stranded hat is inspired by the hortensia and their huge colorful flowers. They grow a lot in Brittanny because of the rainy climate, and in my mind they are always tied to old stone houses in the middle of wild moors under a gorgeous moody sky.I used a local yarn from Brittany by Bouclelaine to create the hat and its matching mitts.
The hat is worked in the round from the brim to the crown. It features an all-over 2-color stranded pattern. It’s available in 3 sizes to fit a wide range of adult heads.
YARN Bouclelaine Mérinos Angora 2 ply (Fingering, 90% Merino Wool, 10% Angora; 437 yards (400 m) / 100 grams): Gentiane, 1 skein (MC); Vague Scélérate, 1 skein (CC)
100 grams of each color is enough to knit both the hat and its matching mitts.

Ce bonnet en jacquard est inspiré par les hortensias et leurs belles fleurs colorées et géométriques. Les hortensias grandissent beaucoup en Bretagne car ils aiment bien le climat doux et humide, et pour moi ils sont toujours associés dans mon esprit à des vieilles pierres au milieu de landes sauvages sous un ciel ténébreux.
Pour créer ce bonnet et ses mitaines assorties, j’ai utilisé une laine de Bouclelaine, une petite entreprise bretonne qui revalorise les laines locales.
