The stitch pattern is reminiscent of thistles and the latin name for the Scottish Thistle is Onopordum. The name, Pordum, is an abbreviated version. Pordum is the same construction as my other pattern, Heddle, and it is a very simple top-down shawlette that’s modular. In other words, the pattern repeat can be worked any number of times, so you can work the pattern to the length that your yarn quantity will stretch to.
