Fingerless or full, the Guapa mittens are a treat for overworked hands trying to make it through the rest of the winter. The original full mitten pattern paired a luxurious yarn with dainty bow stitches for a soft, quick knit perfect for these last days of the season.
This updated and revised pattern now includes two additional sizes and the option for fingerless mitts. The second sample uses a rustic Shetland and showcases how pairing a hearty yarn with delicate stitches can create a more subtle texture that still shines.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL); 6 ½ (7, 7 ¾, 8 ¼, 9)”/16.5 (18, 19.5, 21, 23) cm hand circumference
Gauge: 26 sts and 36 rounds = 4”/10 cm in st st in the round on larger needles, blocked
Yarn:
Mittens: Knit Picks Paragon, 50% Fine Merino, 25% Baby Alpaca, 25% Mulberry Silk, 123 yd/50 g (112 m/ 1.75 oz): 2 balls in Enchanted
Fingerless mitts: The Ross Farm Heliotrope 2.0 100% Shetland Wool, 250 yd/100 g (228 m/4 oz): 1 skein
Needles: US 4/3.5 mm DPNs or size to obtain gauge
US 2/3 mm DPNs or 2 sizes smaller than needle used to obtain gauge
You may prefer to use 2 shorter circular needles or 1 long circular needle for Magic Loop
