In a galaxy torn by war, and far in the future for humankind, a simple soldier pines for one of the Magical beings that lead the war efforts for the side of good.
 Shaloka didn't care that her best friend was one of the many Null's that populated the galaxy. Nor did she care that they weren't of the same species. She just enjoys his company and the unrelenting sense of hope and duty that drove him on day after day through a war that never seemed to end. But after they were forcibly seperated for more than a year, when she sees Flex again, suddenly he's not just her best friend anymore, but someone her mating instinct has taken notice of. 
 On the cusp of a major battle, can she defy the traditions and rules of the magical Order that had raised her to claim Flex as hers?
