Licensed cartoon: securing data in your car.

Your car is spying on you. It is sending data to the manufacturer which, in many cases, sells that information, including full personal details, to third parties. This includes your driving style, location and information that can be used to track your whereabouts and to establish e.g. whether you have been speeding. This data will also be at the heart of "pay per mile" taxes currently proposed in e.g. the UK and Australia.

Your car isn't a means of transport: it's a surveillance tool.

And it's two way traffic: over-the-air updates can be used to turn your car into a brick if you don't keep paying the subscriptions, for example.
