Bruno is a psychiatric patient who is taken to the ECT room by Nurse Álvaro against his will. He is eventually convinced by the doctor to accept the treatment, and Nurse Álvaro assists in preparing him on the exam table.
After several painful shocks, Bruno flatlines, and CPR is immediately initiated. Despite their efforts and multiple doses of adrenaline, the only result is a series of seizures—until he is finally declared dead.
