Program Note:

Quasi Concerto was commissioned by euphonium player Ricardo Daniel Silva.

It is a light, personal take on the concerto form, showcasing the euphonium’s expressive range through three contrasting movements: a rhythmic and harmonically rich ostinato, a nostalgic song inspired by childhood, and a vibrant finale drawing on Ribatejo folk rhythms and thematic fusion.
