Timestone is a thrilling, bizarre, adventure story. ( www.timestones.uk )
The Carters lived close to the Welsh border in the most western part of Gloucestershire in the Forest of Dean. They were a perfectly normal family.
That was of course, until Wesley put Deeno on Facebook.
Wesley’s thoughtless moment changed the Carters. Inadvertently causing the inevitable evolutionary change that human beings will go through due to the interaction with Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. Thus — again by accident — he created the first examples of the new human species, Homo Automatopoetus. (Homo poetus for short).
As a side effect, his thoughtless moment also transformed the President of America’s view of the World, and forced the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, to see the bigger picture.
Having accidently discovered Correctorbots (Robotic, biological life} the Carters are quickly entangled in a complicated web of multi plot lines in which there are different adventures going on at the same time.
The adventure develops and the Carter family find themselves whisked from ordinary domesticity to experiencing a fantastic world of future technology, unbelievable realities, new relationships, parallel realities that are just as real as theirs, as well as the more mundane stuff of dealing with the various governments security organisations, a double agent, and the precarious reality of war.
There’s a really fun quality to Timestones too though. There’s an almost vaudevillian slapstick humour to the doppelgangers that are out there, standing in for individuals who are off saving the world. And then there’s the dinosaurs themselves, who . . .
