Harbor Cowl: Striped Crochet Cowl Pattern (PDF)
Make the Harbor Cowl, a soft striped crochet cowl you can finish in a single cozy evening.
This is the clean, printable, ad free version of my Harbor Cowl pattern. No scrolling, no popups, no chasing the instructions between advertisements.
Just the pattern, the photos, and plenty of space for your own notes, ready to drop straight into your project bag or print for your craft folder.
The Harbor Cowl is worked flat in two colors and then folded and seamed into a comfortable loop. As you go, the stripes shift between an airy mesh, rows of little shells, and a smooth band of single crochet, so every color change brings a new texture. The result looks far more intricate than it is. Each row is simple, and a stitch count at the end of every row keeps you on track the whole way up.
I named it Harbor for the deep teal and soft flecked grey that remind me of a calm morning by the water, but it is lovely in any two colors you reach for, or even a single shade.
What you will make:
A striped, textured cowl about 7 inches tall and 25 inches around, worn as a soft loop. Easy to make taller or longer, since you simply add chains or work more repeats.
Skill level:
Easy, perfect for a confident beginner or anyone easing back into crochet.
Stitches used (US terms):
Chain, double crochet, single crochet, and a simple skip stitch mesh. If you can work a double crochet and change colors, you can make this cowl.
You will need:
Weight 4 acrylic yarn in two colors, about 70 grams in total, and a 5 mm (H/8) hook, plus a tapestry needle and scissors.
What is included in your download:
A clear, printable PDF with the full written pattern, the materials and gauge details, step by step instructions with stitch counts, simple seaming guidance, and photos. Written in my warm, easy to follow style, with no advertisements.
