Hot School Day

Hot School Day is an interactive science game where students become Heat Detectives solving 12 real-world heat problems around a school on the hottest day of the year. Students use interactive tools, graphs, simulators and data activities to investigate why surfaces heat up, how insulation works, how convection moves warm air, why colours affect heat absorption, how thermometers are used, and what makes a fair test. Through the cases, students build understanding of conduction, convection, radiation, conductors and insulators, temperature, thermometers, fair testing and heat in everyday life while progressing from Junior Detective to Master Heat Detective.

Each game includes voice-over support for questions and answer options, voice choice settings, read-aloud controls, feedback throughout the activity, student-friendly navigation, and options to print or save results as a PDF where included.
