Learn the principles of bronze conservation and the complexities of working with large objects: a course for managers, carers and custodians of bronze.
I'm Lucy Branch, Director of Antique Bronze Ltd. Our company specialises in the conservation and restoration of sculpture and architectural features in bronze. I am accredited by The Institute of Conservation and hold a degree from both University College London and a Masters from The Royal College of Art & Victoria and Albert Museum.
I have made it my life's work to specialise in the area of sculptural and architectural conservation of bronze.
I'm here to give you some peace of mind and guide you in good practice.
I want you to use my experience to feel confident with bronze so that you can make good decisions and become a bronze champion!
Bronze conservation is a niche area and not something that you will necessarily have been given training in even if you have studied conservation.
This course brings together the foundations of the subject mixed with many years of my experience.
You could glean this information from a variety of sources, but without a guide, it's hard to know which recommendations are applicable to your object or your work context. In this course, you will see dozens of different examples of bronze features, the problems they encounter and how those issues can be resolved.
