This advanced InDesign script generates precise borders and backgrounds with flexible alignment options, intelligent spread handling, and professional customization with live preview capabilities.
Creation Modes
The script offers two modes: Borders creates precision-stroked rectangles with full stroke control, while Background generates solid-filled rectangles automatically positioned at the document's bottom layer.
Scope Options
Choose from Page (independent shapes with smart facing-page handling), Spread (unified shapes across spreads), All Pages (entire document), Current Page (active page only), or Page Range (specific pages using flexible syntax).
Alignment Precision
Three alignment options: Page for exact page boundaries, Bleed for extension to bleed boundaries (outer edges only for facing pages), and Slug for slug boundaries including crop marks and printing instructions.
Advanced Controls
Features include customizable Stroke width with alignment options, precise Offset positioning, Transparency with blend modes, Colors integrated with document swatches, intelligent Layers with automatic naming, and real-time Preview with instant updates..
