The Bus: Getting to Know Your Passengers
Getting to Know Your Passengers
Getting to Know Your Passengers is a reflective companion to the free The Bus resource, offering space to become curious about what may have shaped your passengers and when they become more present.
Some thoughts, feelings and responses can feel as though they have travelled with us for a very long time. Others may have become more familiar through particular relationships, experiences or periods of our lives. Rather than looking for a single explanation, the questions invite you to notice the different experiences and influences that may have contributed to the ways you experience and respond to the world.
You might find this helpful if…
You have already explored The Bus and would like to understand some of your passengers more deeply, or you are curious about how family, relationships, school, values and other life experiences may have influenced familiar thoughts, feelings and responses.
This resource can be used for your own reflection, alongside therapy, or by practitioners to support reflective conversations with clients.
This resource won't tell you what to do
There is no single explanation to uncover and no particular conclusion to reach.
Some passengers may have a story that feels quite clear. Others may have developed gradually through many different experiences and influences. You may notice connections, uncertainties, or things you had not considered before.
The invitation is to become curious about what is already there.
