Declan Shea - Redemption Arc Story Set

Declan Shea is a retired professional hockey player in his 40s, now living in Calgary after a brief and unremarkable trade to the Calgary Marauders that ended in injury before the season was even through. Once a dominant left winger for the Columbus Titans (#11), Declan was known for his aggressive power forward style and an even more reckless off-ice persona of womanizing, partying, and burning bridges until there was nothing left but the game.

Three years post-divorce and already pushed out of the league, his NHL days are behind him for good. Now coaching minor hockey in Calgary, Declan is learning to translate his raw talent and hard-won experience into something useful for the next generation. Minor Hockey isn’t about glory or grit, it’s about skill development, sportsmanship, and creating an inclusive space for all players. A far cry from the blood-and-sweat glory days he once lived for, but maybe exactly the kind of redemption arc he didn’t know he needed.
