Finished bust circumference: 75 (84, 95.5, 104, 115.5, 124.5)(136, 145, 156.5, 165) cm / 29½ (33, 37½, 41, 45½, 49)(53½, 57, 61½, 65)” – to be worn with 2.5-4 cm / 1-1½” positive ease
Model has 89 cm / 35” bust, stands 168 cm / 5’6” tall, and is wearing size 3.
Yarn: Green Mountain Spinnery Mountain Mohair (worsted weight; 70% wool, 30% yearling mohair; 128 m / 140 yds per 58 g skein)
Shade: Ice Blue (7866); 6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 10)(11, 11, 12, 13) skeins
Gauge: 18 sts & 24 rows = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch on 5 mm needles 24 sts & 28 rows = 10 cm / 4” over Chart A on 5 mm needles after blocking
Needles: 5 mm / US 8 knitting needles 4 mm / US 6 knitting needles 4 mm / US 6 circular needle, 60 cm (24”) length for neckband
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, cable needle, stitch holder or scrap yarn, tapestry needle
Notes: Sweater is knit in pieces from the bottom up with the hem edging picked up from cast-on edge and worked after each piece is complete. The sleeves are worked separately before seaming all pieces together and working the neckband in the round.
