83rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry - Ranker-NCO
Following the themes of Confederates favoring Austrian designs and Unionists favoring French designs, the 83rd (as well a select few others) took it a bit more literally. Their personnel were equipped in the style of the Chasseurs-a-Pied of Napoleon III's army in France at the time. They were known to sport all of the big three french hats, Police caps, Kepis, and Shakos. 1861-1865 (redigeret)
