This guide explores what self-sabotage is and how you can start moving past it, step-by-step, and grow with confidence into the leader you want to be.
Self-sabotage is what happens when we get in our own way.
It’s those moments when we want to do something like speak up in a meeting, apply for a new opportunity, or finally set a boundary with a colleague but we don’t. Instead, we hesitate, overthink, talk ourselves out of it, or quietly shrink back. Sometimes we even go further and actively make choices that pull us away from what we really want or need.
And most of the time? We're not doing it on purpose. In fact, self-sabotage is usually driven by something under the surface, like fear, self-doubt, or old stories we’ve picked up about what we’re capable of or what we "should" be.
Let's change that!
