Stormtrooper in Stilettos

This pattern is named after one of my favourite Queen songs – She Makes Me (Stormtrooper in Stilettos). The central cable panel is delicate and interesting in the way it ebbs and flows from loops to lines. The delicacy is like the stilettoes, but the lines is reminiscent of row upon row of men.

The cowl is knitted as a double fabric in the round. It has the stitch effect on the front and plain stocking stitch on the back. It can be made narrower or longer to suit the wearer’s personal preference. Once the pattern is established this is a great project to do in front of the TV. It uses a provisional cast on and then the two ends are joined together with Kitchener stitch.

The cowl was knitted in WYS Signature 4ply (75% wool, 25% nylon) in colourway Dusty Miller 129. It comes in small, medium and large.
