Ersatz M10

The Ersatz M10 was a deceptive modification of the German Panther tank used during World War II, most notably in the Battle of the Bulge. German forces altered Panthers to resemble the American M10 Wolverine by adding cosmetic changes like sheet metal panels and different markings. The goal was to confuse Allied troops and infiltrate enemy lines. While clever in concept, the disguise was limited in effectiveness, as differences in size, silhouette, and behavior often gave the vehicles away.
