Rugby Izzy Doll

The Womens Rugby World Cup is being held here in the UK this August and September. Three of our fabulous Red Roses (England Rugby Team) are crocheters and through England Rugby have set a challenge for places near to where the games are being played to yarn bomb with a red rose and rugby theme.

Cullompton is a rugby town. We have an amazing rugby club catering for children from the age of 4 through to adults with designated girls teams from age 11 and up through to two fabulous womens teams who are simply amazing (you can tell I'm biased, I'm on the Junior Committee).

Anyway, after a idea session with Cara of Fudges Wool and Haberdashery here in Cullompton I came up with the idea of Izzy Doll rugby players to dot around the town.

This is the free pattern. The design is based on the original Izzy Doll by Shirley O'Connell and I have just worked out the colour placement and finishing design.
