Sinistram is a top-down, raglan sweater with very slight waist shaping that extends to an A-line shape along the hips. The shaping can also be completely eliminated resulting in a straight up and down shape or the slight waist shaping may be worked without the additional A-line shaping. German short rows (a video tutorial is provided) are used to shape the neckline. The sweater is knit in-the-round with a simple, yet elegant, fair isle motif adorning both the lower waist/hips and sleeves. The fair isle motif is presented in both charted and written form. Instructions are provided throughout the pattern for tailoring the sweater to the knitter’s preferences.
