Health Discussions & Breathwork for People Interested in Equitable and Integrative Health & Social Change
BASIC LIFE community is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to educated, compassionate, and anti-oppressive approaches to health support and care. The name reflects our commitment to honouring the fundamental human rights of each person – to receive informed, accessible support for wellness that uplifts . Our health systems, often modelled around illness and structured in ways that uphold systemic biases, can sometimes feel limiting or exclusionary. But, what if we could reimagine a world where health support is dynamic, integrative, and centred on the individuals holistic support needs – prioritising prevention, wellbeing, and empowerment?
Basic Life recognises and openly discusses the inequalities and inequities in the health system, often influenced by factors such as ethnicity, race, socio-economic status, gender, sexuality and diagnosis. This community is a space for open, inclusive conversations where everyone can access knowledge as power, to recognise all possibilities.
Whether you’re joining from the perspective of lived experience, as a parent or carer, a practitioner, or working to support others who experience challenges in accessing equitable health; you’re wholly welcome.
Together, we’re creating a platform for Basic Life – grounded in mentally, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually healthy care for humanity, connection, and the power of shared community learning for all.
Access is available by subscribing for as little as £11.99 for the entire year, then you can access all resources available on the platform.
This membership auto-renews each year, so you will need to put the date in your diary.

Equitable Mental Health Mentor, Movement Builder, and Educator for Social Change.
I established Liminal Connections Ltd when recognising the need to build equitable, inclusive mental health support systems, by blending allopathic (mainstream) healthcare with complementary (AKA the original indigenous) therapies to better support public health. After years of working in community to support parents health and across NHS community and specialist services, I left the NHS in 2024 and shifted my focus to creating, what is now movement building and education focused on accessible, non-violent approaches to mental health support and care that honour everyone’s right to compassionate support.
With extensive experience across services like perinatal and crisis mental health, and personality disorder teams, I bring a holistic perspective informed by both professional expertise and lived experience. My approach champions integrative support, centring individual needs and wellness in a system that too often prioritizes illness models and can uphold oppression. As a dual-heritage woman of colour, I recognise first-hand the impact of systemic inequalities, which drives my dedication to addressing racial and cultural injustices within mental health care.
Through Liminal Connections, I offer innovative programs and CPD, such as Emotional Ecology workshops, the Breathing Emotions course, and monthly Basic Life Zoom calls, where people gather to discuss current issues in mental health and build a supportive community. My work is about establishing and building upon connections, merging the boundaries between mainstream and alternative, educating all people on the importance of equitable mental health access, and creating contained, inclusive spaces for all – whether as a person with lived experience, a carer, or a health practitioner.
