Motortier SMG - v1.7 - FILES ONLY
The Motortier SMG is a Nerf-compatible flywheel blaster that uses Flypoint-compatible shells. It fires half-darts in full-auto at rapid speed. The blaster has a separate rev-trigger that is attached to the front of the firing trigger, for a controllable dual-stage trigger feeling.
The blaster is powered by a 3S LiPo. The LiPo goes into a compartment in the front of the blaster, for balance reasons. Inserted into the top of the blaster is a voltage meter, to plug your LiPo into. The magazines hold by default 30 shells each, in a double-stack configuration. I also offer shorter 15 shell mags, if you want it to be compact.
It fires about 20 meter in a straight line, and 30 meter at an angle. By default the Motortier SMG comes with 130 form factor motors, embedded in a Stryfe-compatible cage and flywheel combo for maximum compatibility. On the front is an N-Strike-compatible barrel lug.
There are no single or burst fire options. The blaster is an uncivilized brute, only intent on shows of glowy power and spraying shells.

Buying this means that you will get a zip file full of STL files for the blaster, the magazines, talon magazine adapter, the shells, and the shell holder.
You can use these files to print the blaster and associated items for personal, non-commercial, non-distribution purposes as often as you like. Tinkering is encouraged. Let me know how that goes.
All parts can be printed on a bed of 220mm edge length.
The assembly instructions can be found here -> https://wildwestscifi.net/motortier-smg-assembly-instructions-beta-3
That will ideally also let you know what hardware you'll need. Yes, there will be soldering.

Changelog
v1.6
- Changed the shell extractor geometry so the cap can be printed in a different orientation. That should improve its overall sturdiness.
- Changed the gear system, mag release and lipo compartment to not use 4mm aluminium rods anymore. That removes the need for 4mm rods entirely. It should be easier to get the hardware together now.
- Reinforced the bottom frame that grips around the magazine. If the blaster fell down beforehand in an unfortunate way then the magazine could lever the blaster in half. This will ideally prevent that.
- Changed the motor gear from using a heat insert to using a captive M3 square nut. Heat inserts annoy me.
v1.7
- Modified the magazines to have more useful/consistent screw ports. This is mostly just an act of rolling up some legacy issues.
- The default model now also comes with a small 15 dart magazine, for a total of 3 mags with every purchase. I want people to use these more. They're neat.
