Lucas in the OR

Lucas arrives at the doctor’s office after experiencing severe stomach pain for several days. After a checkup and an ultrasound, the doctor diagnoses him with appendicitis and explains that he requires immediate surgery to resolve it.

In the operating room, the procedure begins, but it is interrupted when Lucas suddenly flatlines. The doctor makes a tremendous effort to resuscitate him, administering CPR and other measures—even as Lucas briefly regains consciousness for a short time—until he successfully restores circulation. The surgery is postponed until Lucas stabilizes.
