Play Ball

Play Ball, created by John Robert Beck in 2011, is a vibrant and energetic abstract composition inspired by the playful nature of cats. Two feline forms drift and leap across a richly layered background of swirling color, circular shapes, and fluid motion. The overlapping elements create a sense of depth and movement, as if the cats are chasing invisible objects through a dreamlike space. Warm tones of red, gold, and orange blend with softer hues, enhancing the feeling of motion and spontaneity. This piece celebrates the joy, curiosity, and boundless energy that define feline play, transforming a simple moment into an expressive visual experience.
