Venn Connell swears her assassin days are over...

... until one missing ambassador threatens Andvell's hard-won peace.

Now, stuck on what was supposed to be a straightforward diplomatic mission, Venn must defend herself against a man with a relic she believed lost.

And an enchanted army.

And a lurking shadow that followed her out of the charred Treevale ruins.

Although she longs to face the darkness with foul words and quick blades, Venn knows she must tread carefully. One wrong step, one mistimed move, could hurl her country into war.

If you love stories with fierce friendships, creative swearing, and blade-weilding women, you'll love Bloodlore! Get it now.

The Sisters beckon you back to Andvell...

Technically, you don't have to have read the Meratis Trilogy to read the Cadis Trilogy, but I would recommend it. You'll have a better feel for the characters' personalities and relationships and understand why Venn is a part of a family she's not related to and why it's hard for her sometimes.

I loved the Meratis Trilogy, so I was really looking forward to finding out what happened five years later and to getting to know Venn better. As I expected, the author did not disappoint. Bloodlore briefly explains what's happened in the last five years then sets our heroine and her friends on a journey to find a missing ambassador, and they find a lot of stuff that sets up the rest of the series.

I've absolutely devoured every Krista Walsh book I've read, and Bloodlore was no different. She has a great sense of humor, great character and story development, and a great imagination.
