Sailor Moon was one of my favorite animes, and still is. My dad used to tape it on tv so I could watch it after I was done with my homework every weekday. It was my first fandom, and still holds a special place in my heart.

Chibi is the second sweater inspired by Sailor Moon. (See Rei, the first one, here!) Chibiusa or Chibi Moon is a complex character that appears cute and sweet, but there’s more there than expected. The yoke was designed specifically with her in mind, and the textured pattern is used on the body to reflect that she’s not as simple as she may initially appear.

Chibi pullover is a top down yoked sweater with stranded colorwork on the yoke. The body of the sweater is cropped and uses a fun and simple textured pattern. An optional extra chart is included, in case you would like to duplicate stitch a little bonus (just peeking out in picture 4) on your Chibi!

Gauge
Gauge for Chart B listed first, as it is easier to measure gauge from (no increases in chart).
22sts x 32 rounds = 4” x 4” 10cm x 10cm in Chart B on larger needles, blocked.
22sts x 26 rounds = 4” x 4” 10cm x 10cm in Chart A on larger needles, blocked.
Note: Some people find their gauge changes drastically with colorwork. If you find this to be true, you may need to go up or down a needle size to compensate. In displayed sample, the same needle used was used throughout and while the stitch gauge remained the same, the row gauge changed significantly in the colorwork section.
