Sailor Moon was one of my favorite animes, and still is. My dad used to tape it on tv so I could watch it after I was done with my homework every weekday. It was my first fandom, and still holds a special place in my heart.
Rei pullover is the first (and won’t be the last) of my Sailor Moon inspired sweaters. Sailor Mars has a lot of fiery imagery in both her abilities as well as her personality. I tried to represent that in this sweater, but also make it something that I think Rei would wear in her daily life.
It is worked from the top down and features accented shoulders with welts and short rows, a fiery lace pattern with bobbles, long and loose sleeves (with notes on how to adjust for tighter sleeves as well), and a cropped length (though easily adjustable for anyone who may want to lengthen).
Bobble note: a crocheted bobble was used for the pictured sweater. Instructions and a linked tutorial have been included to demonstrate how to work these. If a knitted bobble is preferred, instructions and a linked tutorial have been included for this, as well.
