The infant princess Solvynia is thought to have died when the royal carriage plummeted from a mountain road, but she is miraculously rescued by fairies. Hiskette, a witch, raises the girl in a remote village near the shores of Lake Miffelsproat. When Solvynia learns about her birthright, naturally she wants to meet her real parents.
